About ARCHTELIER

Spaces in the Language of Senses. We design for senses. We build with intelligence.

Our Story

ARCHTELIER INTERIORS® was born from a passion for authentic design and the desire to create spaces that speak the language of the senses. In 2018, Arh. Alina-Maria Fota and Designer Sorin-Ioan Fota united their complementary visions to found a studio that would redefine luxury interior design standards in Romania.

"We believe that every space has a unique personality waiting to be discovered. Our role is not to impose a style, but to reveal the authentic essence of each place."

From the first residential projects in Brașov to today's international collaborations, we have remained true to our philosophy: design must move, inspire and endure over time. Each project is a search for the perfect balance between functionality and beauty, between contemporary and timelessness.

Mission

To transform spaces into emotional experiences through high-quality interior design, integrating modern technologies with human sensitivity to create environments that not only look spectacular, but also feel like home.

Vision

To become the benchmark in luxury interior design in Romania and extend our influence in Europe, promoting the concept of "Quiet Luxury" and the integration of innovative technologies in design.

Values

Authenticity, excellence, sustainability and innovation. We believe in the power of design to improve people's lives and in our responsibility to protect the environment through conscious choices.

Design Philosophy

The fundamental principles guiding each ARCHTELIER project

1

Quiet Luxury

Authentic luxury doesn't shout, it whispers. We prefer quality and refinement over ostentation, creating spaces that radiate discreet elegance.

2

Natural Materials

Wood, stone, noble metals and natural textiles form our basic palette, bringing warmth and authenticity to every space.

3

Orchestrated Light

Light is our main tool for sculpting space. Each zone receives exactly the type and intensity of lighting it needs.

4

Invisible Technology

We integrate smart home and advanced technologies without compromising aesthetics. Technology must serve, not dominate.

5

Sustainability

We choose local suppliers, durable materials and solutions that minimize environmental impact. Responsible design is the design of the future.

6

Timelessness

We create spaces that stand the test of time, avoiding passing trends in favor of an aesthetic that will remain relevant for decades to come.

ARCHTELIER Evolution

A story of organic growth, continuous refinement, and selectivity

2013

The Beginnings

ARCHTELIER INTERIORS was born from direct practice, not from a branding plan. The first defining project was Mineral Prestige, completed in Brașov: a natural stone showroom that, at that time, was the largest space of its kind in Eastern Europe.

The project involved more than interior design: complex spatial organization, large-scale showcasing of natural materials, and the integration of clear architectural logic into a space with both commercial and representative functions. This experience set ARCHTELIER's direction: interior design built on material, proportion, and technical rigor.

Founding members:

  • Alina-Maria Fota
  • Ioan Sorin Fota
2014–2015

Early Years

During this period, ARCHTELIER's activity focused on residential and commercial projects with a high level of customization, especially in the Brașov area and surroundings. Without aggressive public exposure, the studio operated through direct recommendations and selective collaborations.

ARCHTELIER consolidated itself as a working atelier, not a volume studio. The emphasis was on direct learning from execution, deep understanding of the construction site, and refining the relationship between concept and technical detail. Identity formed in silence, through correctly delivered projects, not through discourse.

2016–2018

Growth and Development

During this stage, projects of greater complexity emerged: individual residences, extensive residential spaces, and interventions where natural materials (stone, wood, metal) became central elements of the concept.

ARCHTELIER expanded its service scope beyond design itself, including a more structured approach to technical documentation, coordination, and execution control. Also during this period, interest in integrating technology into the design and management process began to take shape conceptually.

2019–2021

Maturity

ARCHTELIER entered a phase of professional maturity. Projects became more selective, better filtered, with a high level of responsibility and control. Work focused predominantly on premium projects, where the decision to collaborate was bidirectional: both the studio and the client needed to be aligned in values and expectations.

The business model was refined. ARCHTELIER operated as an interior architecture atelier led directly by the founders, without delegating creation or essential decisions. The idea was consolidated that value lies in direct involvement, not in accelerated scaling.

2022–Present

Modern ARCHTELIER

Starting in 2022, ARCHTELIER continues to work on selected residential and hospitality projects, with an increasing emphasis on sensory coherence, discretion, and impeccable execution. Many projects remain confidential, reflecting the typology of clients and the nature of collaborations.

ARCHTELIER INTERIORS is defined today as an interior architecture atelier focused on quiet luxury. Design is not treated as decoration, but as an extension of life and human identity. Space is conceived through senses, rhythm, material, and light, not through trends.

In parallel, a long-term vision is being developed related to digital tools and AI dedicated to architects and manufacturers, meant to support technical rigor and process efficiency, without substituting human creation.

Current team:

ARCHTELIER INTERIORS is led exclusively by the two founders:
Alina-Maria Fota – creative direction, concept, vision, sensory architecture
Ioan Sorin Fota – technical direction, detailing, execution, technology integration

This intentionally restricted structure represents a strong point: continuity, total quality control, and direct assumption of every project. ARCHTELIER is not a large team, but an atelier where every decision matters.

ARCHTELIER INTERIORS was not built on rapid exposure or volume, but on time, experience, and selection. Its history is one of organic growth, continuous refinement, and the conscious choice to remain an author's studio, not a mass brand.
